Smallholders BMP Palm Oil Specialist -- Putussibau

WWF-Indonesia, an independent national conservation organization, is part of a global network of WWF. WWF-ID is currently seeking the best candidate for the position of Smallholders BMP Palm Oil Specialist. This position will be based in Putussibau, Kalimantan Barat, and report directly to the Sustainable Commodities Coordinator.


The main function of this position is responsible and act as a focal point for WWF Indonesia in facilitating the implementation of sustainable palm oil commodity development projects/programs and in managing relationships with communities and independent oil palm smallholders in accordance with project/program objectives, to ensure knowledge, awareness towards practices and chain transformation value of palm oil in a sustainable and equitable manner.


Requirements for this position are:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Forestry, Development Economics, Agriculture, Geography, and other relevant majors.
  • 3 – 5 years experience in the field of oil palm commodity development and assistance to independent oil palm smallholders
  • Understanding of ISPO/RSPO standards is preferred
  • Have active English language skills, spoken and written
  • National and international environmental and social safeguards
  • Passion for nature conservation and sustainable development, coupled with a belief in the WWF Mission
  • Adherence to WWF’s values of Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, and Courage.
