Marine Social Development Specialist - Denpasar

WWF-Indonesia, an independent national conservation organization, is part of a global network of WWF. WWF-ID is currently seeking the best candidate for the position of Marine Social Development Specialist. This position will be based in Denpasar, and report directly to the Marine Biodiversity Conservation Program Manager.

This position is responsible for developing the Marine Social Development strategy, providing direction, and ensuring the quality of the implementation of various work plans related to the development and strengthening of coastal communities in the sustainable management of coastal and marine resources at the Marine & Fisheries Teamwork sites, including the management of donors and related projects, as well as support the Program Manager in conducting fundraising to develop the program. Stakeholders also provide support to the advocacy function and maintain good relations with external parties to support the success of the Marine & Fisheries Program.


Requirements for this position are:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) from Social Studies, Anthropology, Society, or other related majors.
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience in strengthening and empowering coastal communities in marine resource management
  • Have a portfolio of success stories in assisting coastal communities to become independent
  • Mastering various approaches and methods in advocacy, strengthening, and empowering communities, especially coastal communities.
