Aquaculture Specialist - Makassar

WWF-Indonesia, an independent national conservation organization, is part of a global network of WWF. WWF-ID is currently seeking the best candidate for the position of Aquaculture Specialist. This position will be based in Makassar, and report directly to Aquaculture National Coordinator

Together with the Yayasan WWF Indonesia's Marine and Fisheries Program team, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring WWF's contribution in the fisheries sector to support the government and related parties in efforts to manage and transform business and sustainable fisheries practices.

Requirements for this position are:

  • At least a bachelor's degree majoring in aquaculture, resource management, biology, environment, or other relevant majors
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in aquaculture and community assistance
  • Mastering the field of aquaculture and its relation to conservation
  • Understand the concept of traceability systems in the fisheries sector
  • Proficient in English both spoken and written
  • Have advocacy and communicative ability to support program targets (excellent communicator)
  • Able to work in a team and regularly communicate work-related matters with supervisors
  • Solutive, communicative, and able to network with relevant partners to support the achievement of work targets (good advocate)
  • Be dedicated and willing to travel work-related by adhering to strict health protocols
  • Highly committed to sustainable marine and fisheries resource management efforts.
